This 2001 Seamaster 2088 WA Cuddy Cabin has it all.  Whether you’re fishing for the day or just cruising with the family, this boat is the right choice.  Bimini top with helm enclosure keeps you warm and dry in inclement weather.  The cuddy cabin is great for the kids and stowage, plus some privacy when using the porta-head.  A large swim platform with folding two rung ladder was added this year to increase the fun on family outings or to hold your coolers when bringing in the fresh fish.  A built in cooler and livewell are in the transom for easy access.  Compass, Color Chart plotter with sonar, gunwale rod holders, Rod stowage and VHF make this boat ideal for the coastal fisherman.  Raw water wash down helps to keep the boat clean.

 

I bought this boat this spring as a family / fishing boat.  I added the swim platform and the kids loved it, not to mention I increased my deck area by putting my coolers on it. 

 

Family outings have been fun and relaxing.  We’ve had picnics, birthday parties, short campouts, tubing and swimming trips, and relaxing cruises.  I’ve also done a fair amount of fishing on it - shark, striper, and ground fish.

 

She runs economically.  I installed a fuel flow meter this year as well, allowing the RPM, Speed, and Trim to be adjusted to get the most from a tank of gas.  After talking with people at the docks, she uses a lot less fuel to get to the fishing grounds.  A day on this boat doesn’t break the bank.

Boat Description

The United Marine SeaMaster 2088 Walk Around has all the features of a larger craft: a tall, roomy cuddy with a Porta-Potti, a spacious walk around deck, an aerated bait well, a cooler, bow seating, an opening cabin hatch, rod holders and more.

Each SeaMaster is built with the finest components. Where wood is used, only

Greenwood XL Certified Boat Panel wood is used, and XL carries a lifetime warranty against rot and decay.

Injected into every cavity between the stringers, bulkheads, and flooring is high-density polyurethane closed cell foam. This provides a quieter ride, added structural integrity and flotation. Layer upon layer of fiberglass is carefully hand-rolled to produce a strong laminate that will give years of trouble-free service.

Premium Armorflex gelcoat is used for extra flexibility and resistance to cracking and crazing. Buffback is added to the formulation to resist chalking and allows simple maintenance to renew its shine year after year.

Rotocast seats and Pro Board backing on all vinyl and upholstered parts give them a virtually unlimited service life. Multi-density foam is used for day-long comfort in all seats.  Marine vinyl backed with 36-ounce foam are used throughout each SeaMaster. Mildewresistant UV coatings applied to the vinyl make the upholstery look new year after year.

Stainless steel fasteners, railing systems, and hinges ensure low maintenance due to their corrosion resistance. All wiring is color coded, loomed, and safely out of the way in the engine compartment. Automatic bilge pumps are standard in every model.

With all this, why am I selling her?  If our family plans hadn’t changed, I’d be keeping this boat, she’s the best that I’ve owned.  But we’re currently looking to move into a cruising sailboat, I just can’t keep it.
